Join our regular classes twice every month.
Start to mend your own clothes. We will reuse beautiful offcuts to make bespoke patches. You will also learn classic techniques to fix clothes and make alterations! PRICE once per month £35 twice per month £60 1.The world of materials:We will be using most of our senses to understand numerous types of textiles. We will Introduce different fabric types, their characteristics, uses and other details. Essential to learn how to treat the garment and which tool and technique choose to mend it. 2. Creative Part:We will make hems, change zips, fitting and also patches from scratch to sew them on your garments. There is no need to have previous experience in sewing, if you are new at this you will probably end with one garment reworked instead of two, but with the skills to make the second one at home! 3. Sewing while chatting and enjoying a tea break:Overall we will be exploring the amazing world of alterations and how to give them a second chance to shine! DATE AND TIME: The classes are twice a month every month. Normally the last Wednesdays (7pm-9pm) and Saturdays (10am-12hs) of every month.

You can also make the class a one-to-one with me. We can start from 0 or flow with your level to take it to the next one. The hour for a one-to-one is 30 pounds.
If you are interested but you cannot make it that date let me know, I may have something just for you in a one-to-one sesion format. PLACE: Craft Central E14 3AE, East London MATERIALS and DRINKS: all included, but please bring a small notebook so you can take your own creative notes and some garments you want to mend or look too boring for you. Join us and your wardrobe will never be the same :) TEACHER: Fashion Designer Nadia Piechestein has been reworking clothes since 2008, redesigning costumes for Dance and Theatre as well as making alterations and bespoke patches If you want to join but you don´t know how to use a sewing machine i suggest you to make this workshop first. How to use a sewing machine Booking details: Workshops are non-refundable. If you can no longer make it on the day you are welcome to find a replacement to take your space. It may be possible to book you for an alternative date depending on workshop availability. Requests to exchange the date must be made no less than 7 days before the event.
