Modern Japanese rice bag Workshop
Make a sustainable meaningful gift in a one of a kind experience.
A modern take on the Japanese Komebukuro, a traditional pouch used in Japan to carry rice offerings to the temple during religious ceremonies, or to hold gifts destined for a close friend or relative. Komebukuro bags were hand sewn in a patchwork style using a mix of whatever fabrics were on hand, and closed with a cotton drawstring cord. This is a perfect project to use my scraps collection of fabric and add your own unique style, we will use beautiful weaving offcuts from @freeweaver_saori_studio, also Kaadhi cotton. You can be as simple or complex as you’d like. We can even add a special fabric label with a nice messege! The perfect size to carry around your latest knitting project, or use it as a lunch tote!
All materials included and you don’t need sewing experience.
